On 4 April 2022, DIPLO, in cooperation with the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (NZIIA) and thew European Studies Association of Australian and New Zealand (ESAANZ) will host a presentation by NZIIA President Dr Hamish McDougall examining New Zealand’s political and diplomatic relationships with Britain and the enlarged European Community in historical perspective. On February 9 2022, Serena Kelly presented at the virtual New Zealand Political Studies Association (NZPSA) conference. The title of the paper was: ‘Power dynamics and the EU–NZ FTA’ and drew on some preliminary results from DIPLO’s on-going media analysis of the EU in New Zealand. With the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
